Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj And 2 Chainz Added To Mtv Vma Line-Up
The MTV Music Video Awards is looking to be all kinds of epic as more heavy-hitters join the performance line-up. The show will take place in their usual L.A location on Thursday the 6 of September. Thus far, we can expect to see Rihanna open the show with A$AP Rocky…
We can also look forward to seeing Alicia Keys make her musical comeback with her stunning track ‘Girl On Fire’. Pink, Green Day and One Direction are also due to bring some big performances on the night alongside Frank Ocean, who is expected to tear up the stage with material from his critically acclaimed album ‘Channel Orange’.
The latest names to be added to the line-up are Young Money heads Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, as well as rap newcomer 2 Chainz.
Nicki recently spoke to MTV News about her first VMA win, which was Best Hip-Hop Video for ‘Superbass’, admitting that she never expected to win: “That was like, a very, very memorable moment. That was one of the best moments in my career, to just hear my name and truly be surprised."
It was reported by Rap-Up.com that Nicki will perform with a special guest and Lil Wayne will perform his second single from his upcoming LP ‘I Am Not A Human Being II’ called ‘No Worries’ for the first time.
