Lil Wayne Wants To Be Like U2
Fresh from performing at the Bonnaroo festival and seeing MTV premiere his ‘Unplugged’ special last Sunday, Lil Wayne has got the taste for performing live shows and has set his sights on “touring forever” and following in the footsteps of rock legends, U2...
Having already added a second leg to his ‘I Am Still Music Tour’, which has created an extra 40 dates across the US, Weezy doesn’t plan on retiring any time soon: "I actually plan on being one of those artists that can go on a tour when they're like 40, like U2 and Michael Jackson. I plan on touring forever, actually.”
With ‘Tha Carter IV’ set to be released in late August, and an already extensive back catalogue - which includes some rock songs, Weezy believes that he has enough material to be able to sustain a nightly show in ‘the entertainment capital of the world’: "I actually plan on being one of those artists, with all the music and all the work I'm putting out, I believe that later on down the line, I can do Vegas. I can be the first hip-hop artist to do Vegas every night. That's the plan."
