Lil Wayne’S Memoirs To Be Released Next Year
Lil Wayne announced earlier in the year that he plans to release a book that would detail the time that he spent in prison back in 2010. The rapper was in NY jail Rikers Island for eight months after he was discovered by police with a weapon and marijuana, and whilst there he wrote ‘Gone To November’. His memoirs were meant to be released this November; however, Weezy has pushed the release date back to next year…
The book is said to be a collection of journal entries which will give us some insight into his past, present and future, sounding like a promising read.
The Young Money honcho said this summer that he intends to take a break from the rap scene, as he spoke to DJ Drama about his passion to skate, saying that it is has become more consuming: "In order to be fully committed, you have to live that lifestyle… With these young kids now, you have to be about that life. It's kind of putting rap on the back burner. Rap's taken a backseat to skating."
Not only has Weezy been skating, he’s been designing; after launching his clothing label Trukfit earlier this year, he not only had fans rushing to grab a snapback, he had Rihanna taking to Instagram in the gear.
Wayne has also created a custom pair of Beats by Dre headphones that are on sale this month for limited time. Oh, and he also released a sneaker collection with Supra this summer and his next album ‘I am Not a Human Being II’ is said to be out in time for Christmas.
Therefore, it isn’t surprising he hasn’t had much time to polish up his memoirs, which will now be released in May 2013. Weezy fans can pre-order now.
