Live Review: Tinchy Stryder (Under The Bridge, London)
Having released his last album in 2010, Tinchy Stryder has been missing from the music scene for quite some time so it was an opportunity not to be missed as the MC performed at the trendy ‘Under The Bridge’ venue in Fulham for a handful of loyal supporters last night…
Loyal is definitely an accurate description of the rappers fan base - Tinchy’s following made sure they showed support, sporting t-shirts from the artists ‘Star in the Hood’ clothing range.
The east London rapper took to the stage performing hits such as ‘Stryderman’, ‘Bright Lights’, ‘You’re Not Alone’ and his collaborations with Dappy, ‘Spaceship’ and ‘Number One’. Stryder also performed his latest single titled ‘Help Me’ and his verse from the collaborative smash ‘Game Over’.
The performance also held some surprises; Stryder’s DJ covered a variety of songs including the Oasis classic ‘Wonderwall’ and Jessie J’s ‘Price Tag’ which saw the rapper connected with the audience as they all sang along.
The pint-sized emcee then decided to tell the fans that he recently bumped into Bajan sensation Rihanna backstage at a concert, which resulted in Stryder rhyming over the Calvin Harris produced ‘Where Have You Been’.
Tinchy Stryder’s latest single ‘Help Me’ is out now, whilst his fourth studio album ‘Full Tank’ is expected to be released at the end of this year.
To see what he had to say about the project, check out our recent interview with the ‘Stryderman’ himself.
