Mariah Carey Didn't Feel 'safe' After Nicki Minaj Feud
Mariah Carey has spoken up once again on the internal drama that circulated the filming of the latest series of American Idol, saying she felt ‘unsafe’ whilst at work. Speaking to Barbara Walters on ‘Nightline’, the singer said of her differences with Nicki Minaj: "It felt like an unsafe work environment.
"Anytime anybody's reeling threats at somebody, you know, it's not appropriate. I'm a professional. I'm not used to that type of environment."
Mariah was also asked how she felt about Nicki’s track ‘Hell Yeah’, where she rhymes: ”That's why these big names wanna toss the deal / Okay I'll take it, sign on the dotted line / But I'm quick to the check a b***h if she outta line."
The ‘Heartbreaker’ artist responded: "Don't know. Don't know what she's saying. I didn't know she sang. I thought she rapped uh, whatever…”
Carey concluded that she has settled her differences with Minaj, adding: "I think it's a classic, classy show and it didn't need this… For me ultimately, this is about the kids, the contestants.”
