Maz’S Weekend Word: Jay-Z And Beyoncé Move To London? Drake Takes ‘Yolo’ Too Far, Whitney Houston’S Family Gets Reality Tv Show
With the 'Watch The Throne' tour coming to the UK this week, Jay-Z and Kanye West will be staying in Europe for a portion of the summer. It has been said that Kanye will be staying in the Lanesborough Hotel in Knightsbridge with his new sweetheart, Kim Kardashian, whilst Jay-Z has decided to find somewhere more permanent. He and the Mrs have decided to rent a 5 bedroom townhouse in west London, rather than staying in hotels with their baby, Blue Ivy...
A source told The Sun: "Both Jay-Z and Beyoncé are going to be spending a lot of time in London over the next few months. Jay is over here for his Watch The Throne Tour and Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Beyoncé will be launching her perfume in Europe over the summer. They wanted to have somewhere more homely now they are parents."
The summer holiday in London may come at a good time for Bey, as it was revealed that a judge has given video game company Gate Five permission to sue the star for a cool $100 million. The star was due to release a video game called 'Starpower: Beyoncé' but pulled out last minute, which allegedly caused 70 people to lose their jobs. The company’s lawyer said he was "pleased" with the decision, whilst B’s reps refused to comment.
Drake was seen on the red carpet in Vegas this weekend to celebrate his 'Club Paradise' tour with a massive after-party. The rapper was clasping a suspicious looking plastic cup, which got spectators worried that he may be following in the footsteps of his mentor and boss, Lil Wayne.
Weezy was previously addicted to sizzurp, a strong cough syrup, whilst Drake previously confirmed in an interview that he has consumed the drug. If the drug is taken regularly and the user becomes addicted, the results can be fatal - as we tragically saw with rappers Pimp C and Big Moe.
It has been said that Drake is dabbling in substance abuse due to the fact that he is finding the effects of fame tough, with some even saying he is still caught up on Rihanna; when their fling ended he claimed she used him as "a pawn." Whilst we doubt he is still caught up, his new song with 2 Chains, 'No Lie', is said to be dissing the Bajan beauty.
Drake spits: "What’s her name, chances are it is what’s her name, chances are, if she was acting up, then I f****d her once and never f****d again. She could have a Grammy, I still treat that a** like a nominee..." Coincidence?
It has been confirmed that Whitney Houston’s family are to star in their own reality TV show. The show will be called 'The Houston Family Chronicles' and will feature Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Houston, her mother, Cissy Houston, and others.
The show will initially be aired on America’s Lifetime channel. Rob Sharenow, executive vice-president of programming, said: "The tragic loss of Whitney Houston left a void in the hearts of people all over the world, but certainly none more so than her beloved family. In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love, and grow."
Debates have begun as to whether this is a good idea or simply a tacky one. The show is yet to receive a date as to when it will go live, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
