Mc Angel Haze Releases Creepy ‘New York’ Video
Emerging female emcee Angel Haze has released a fresh new video for her track ‘New York’, which sees a masked Angel haunts New York City in the new Adrienne Nicole directed visuals. The chilling video resembles a 90’s style horror movie, seeing Angel and her two partners in crime donning gas masks and terrorising unsuspecting citizens of the city…
The visual begins with an unmasked Angel Haze and her two sidekicks emerging from behind a door before they are loose into the city. First they sneak up on an unsuspecting couple that have separated in the midst of a heated argument and the woman is held up and strangled by a masked Angel Haze, before falling lifelessly to the ground.
The rest of the video is just as strange and intense as the start as we see Angel Haze lying down, hand behind her head, looking as cool as a cucumber as she spits her verse coupled with direct cuts to flash backs of her going crazy and trashing her apartment, giving the sense of a split personality.
The 20-year-old New York MC recently released the mixtape ‘Reservation’ which features the singles ‘New York’ and ‘Werkin Girls’. She also spoke about doing a project with Azealia Banks, saying to MTV Hive: “Azealia Banks and I are in talks about a project… I might get her on a remix to ‘New York’. I love her; her flow is so nasty and mine is too, but in a totally different lane.
“I’m more hip hop and she’s more house music, so it’ll be interesting to see how the two merge, even if it’s just a beat change. She’s pretty cool; people take her too harshly.”
