Missy Elliot And Timbaland Will Not Be Involved In Aaliyah Project, Saying They Are Still ‘Very Sensitive To The Loss”
Since the release of the 40 produced, Drake featuring, posthumous Aaliyah track ‘Enough Said’, rumours have been spinning regarding the forthcoming album from the late Brooklyn-born singer, with Drake promising to deliver one that he will executively produce by the end of the year…
However, many fans and critics expressed their confusion that the production was not being headed by Timbaland and Missy Elliot, who were very close with the ‘Rock The Boat’ singer.
To clear up confusion, a statement has been released by Missy’s manager, saying they in fact will not be involved in the project: "Although Missy and Timbaland always strive to keep the memory of their close friend alive, we have not been contacted about the project nor are there any plans at this time to participate.
"We've seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case. Both Missy and Timbaland are very sensitive to the loss still being felt by the family so we wanted to clear up any misinformation being circulated."
