Owen Cutts Talks Live Shows And Collaborations
From starting out on pirate radio stations to getting co-signed by BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe, singer Owen Cutts is a singer on a mission. He told The Wrap Up: "The highlight of everything so far was when my tune 'B.O.R.N' featuring G FrSH was played as Zane Lowe’s 'Next Hype'…
“Not only was it amazing to hear my tune on national radio, it was also a sense of achievement knowing that I'd got it there with no help from a manager or a label or a plugger. It was just based on music that I had produced with my mate Baxter The Future."
In addition to the stand-out track, Cutts has also collaborated with some more of Britain's rap finest including Wiley and Wretch 32, before releasing the EP 'Moth That Made It To The Moon'.
"I'm really looking forward to playing the EP live and that should be happening in the summer time."
With musical influences that range from The Beatles to Wu Tang Clan, the Londoner describes his boldly British sound as "honest different and next."
"I sing in a British accent because I speak with one… it's important for me to keep my music authentic to the UK because that’s what I know."
