Plan B: “F**k The Ones With Power And In Power…”
Ben Drew has been speaking about his new movie, 'iLL Manors', which will be released on May 4. The rapper explained that the film and soundtrack represents for all of the angry youths who feel they do not have a voice. Discussing the riots that occurred last year with The Sun, Plan B didn’t blame the young people in question...
He said: "Society doesn't give a f**k about them. They were showing they don't give a f**k about society. But I know their opinion can be changed." The artist and actor opened up about his life. From being being kicked out of school for fighting, to his run-ins with the police, the rapper-turned-singer-turned-director knows what today's youth go through.
The 28-year-old went on to say: "You'd better not let me hear you calling me a chav. They say it means council houses and violence. But that's just casual prejudice. It's as bad as making fun of someone for their race or sexuality.
"You had better do it behind closed doors away from me, like closet racists, because I ain't gonna have it any more. The ignorant sections of Middle England need to wake up and realise that and stop ridiculing the poor and less fortunate. That's what 'iLL Manors' and its soundtrack are for."
Although he has caught the eye of politicians with his movement, Plan B insists he would rather work with social workers to help the youth. When speaking of politician’s, he blasted: "F**k the ones with power and in power. I've met some nice young politicians with vision but they will say anything to get in power, then I'll wait to see if they f**k things up."
