Professor Green Wants To Work With Florence
Professor Green recently spoke to The Daily Star to announce his dream of working with Florence and the Machine. Despite the songstress beating the outspoken rapper in the album charts last month with her second album, 'Ceremonials', Pro Green ensures that although he was a little annoyed, there was no love lost...
He said: "I was p****d off when I realised my record was coming out on the same day as Florence, but I still bought her record. It was so tactical of her to release her album on Halloween, when there are so many ghosts and ghouls in her songs that her fans love. My favourite song of Florence is ‘My Boy Builds Coffins’. That’s amazing."
The 28-year-old went on to insist he only wanted his second album to do better than his first: "I didn’t mind the battle. It was wicked just being a part of that race to be No. 1. My first album, ‘Alive Till I’m Dead’, eventually reached No. 2, so everyone assumed I wanted a No. 1 this time. But that wasn’t the case. What mattered most was that ‘At Your Inconvenience’ sold more in its first week than the previous album did. That’s true progression."
He then voiced his thoughts on a collaboration with the songstress: "Florence has got a great voice. I’d love to work with her. She’s got such a different outlook on music to anyone else out there. Together we’d be able to come up with something great."
