Rick Ross And Young Jeezy 'fight' At The Bet Awards?
It would seem that they really couldn't hold Rick Ross back after it was reported that his entourage were involved in not one, but two disputes involving Young Jeezy and 50 Cent's G-Unit camp last night (Saturday 29). The drama took place in Atlanta during the filming of the BET Hip Hop Awards, set to be aired in a month…
It has been reported that whilst backstage, Rick Ross and Young Jeezy got into a dispute, leading to the pair pushing and shoving each other back and forth. Although, according to TMZ, security managed to break it up, the brawl managed to find itself being taken to the car park outside where according to Funkmaster Flex, gun shots were fired with at least one man has been arrested following the incident.
Funkmaster Flex took to Twitter to update his followers on the story: "Jeezy and Rick Ross just had words backstage!! Pushing and shoving," He wrote. "Shots fired in parking lot!!! Gunman arrested!!!"
A spokesperson for the Atlanta Police Department commented on the event to TMZ.
"Shortly after 7:15 pm Saturday, a fight broke out in the parking lot at the Atlanta Civic Center (where the awards were being taped) between two groups. Officers on scene responded to break up the fight and used OC spray [commonly known as pepper spray] in the process. Individuals fled the scene." They stated. "There were no arrests or reports of serious injuries. Reports of shots fired appear to be untrue."
Meanwhile, inside the building, hip-hop stars sat and enjoyed the nights entertainment, unaware of the goings on outside. The night saw artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Missy Elliot, 50 Cent, Fat Joe and Busta Rhymes pay tribute to music mogul Chris Lighty, who passed away earlier this year.
