Rihanna On Chris: ‘Who’S Going To Help Him?’
Oprah has been feeding us drips of information from her in-depth interview with global superstar Rihanna, which was filmed in the singer’s homeland of Barbados. The interview will be aired on August 19 and sees the pair discuss her childhood, the sacrifices you have to make for fame and her ex, Chris Brown…
In a recent snippet, Rihanna speaks about Chris, saying that in a strange way, when the incident came out to the public about their fight, she was worried about Breezy more than anything: “I felt like the only person they hate right now is him. It was a weird, confusing space to be in. Because as angry as I was - as angry and hurt and betrayed - I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help. And who's going to help him?
“Nobody's going to say he needs help, everybody's going to say he's a monster, without looking at the source. And I was more concerned about him.”
Speaking of the physical incident that happened after 2009’s pre-Grammy party, the tearful 24-year-old added: 'It was embarrassing it was humiliating... I lost my best friend.”
Oprah also asked the singer, “do you think Chris Brown is a true love for you?' and 'where does your relationship stand today?'
Stay tuned on the 19 of August to find out Rhi’s answer!
