Rita Ora On Rihanna Comparisons: “I Think It’S A Huge Compliment...”
Rita Ora has replied to those who compare her to Rihanna in a recent interview. The London-raised Roc Nation star is always being compared to the Bajan singer, from her sound down to the way that she dresses, but she takes it as a compliment more than anything...
She told Celebuzz.com: "I think it’s a huge compliment. We’re part of the same family, part of the same team, so it’s an obvious comparison, but it’s a great one. So, I’m going to take it and roll with it. Because it’s just a great compliment."
The 21-year-old also spoke about her boss, Jay-Z: "Jay is my boss and he’s a mentor as well, so if he doesn’t like something, he definitely says so. He’s very involved with his business and his label and really cares about his artists."
Discussing her dress sense and stage presence, Rita said that she likes to show the audience something different: "I have such a different variety of clothes, it’s got no boundaries. I love colours and detail. I would describe it as very untamed. Beenies are like the saviour of my life!"
The part-time L.A resident also revealed that if you plan to see her live anytime soon, expect the unexpected: "Usually, I come out with clothes, then I unlayer myself. I run around a lot. Just a lot of fun little surprises."
Rita Ora's 'I’m Ready For Ya' remix of 'R.I.P' recently found its way online. Featuring Drake, who wrote the song, and Tinie Tempah, the remix could actually give the original a run for its money.
