Rizzle Kicks Ditched On Feature For Chiddy Bang
Brighton rappers Rizzle Kicks shot to fame last year, basking in high chart positions following a feature on the No.1 single ‘Heart Skips a Beat’ with X Factor singer Olly Murs. Despite the success of the single, it appeared that the duo were snubbed when they were replaced with US rappers Chiddy Bang for the US release of the single in May…
While speaking to the Metro, Murs explained his decision to trade the rappers, claiming it was because they ‘didn’t go down well’ in the US: “They're top lads and the song was a hit with them on it… it wasn't my decision, it was the label. They said UK rappers don't go down well in the US.”
He added: "I called them and told them Chiddy Bang was going to be on it instead and they were fine... I understand the American market is different."
Although Rizzle Kicks won’t be enjoying the US limelight just yet, they have attracted the attention of girl group Stooshe, who revealed details of an upcoming collaboration with the rappers, sharing with the Daily Star: “Rizzle Kicks are our music brothers. We will definitely do something in the studio with them, maybe for their next album. We’ve already discussed it with them.”
