Simon Wheatley To Hold 'don't Call Me Urban! The Time Of Grime' Book Launch Party
Simon Wheatley is a highly respected photographer, one who has snapped the likes of Tinchy Stryder, Roll Deep and Crazy Titch, to name but a few, and over the last twelve years, Simon has been making a photographic record of young people in London’s inner-city, with a strong emphasis on the grime music scene...
In the book, we see how grime has become the most significant and controversial musical expression to emerge from the UK since punk. A truly amazing piece of work that the underground scene will hopefully appreciate.
To celebrate the book release, a launch party will be held at east London’s popular Rich Mix venue on June 2 (8pm onwards), with some very special performances from artists who you may have heard of before!
Performers on the night:
Tomboy & Nyja
DJ Complex & Skeamer
Entry is free, so make sure that you get down there and get your grime on!
