Snoop Dogg: 'i Was A Real-Life Pimp'
Whilst Snoop Dogg throws the word ‘pimp’ around in his songs, not many would actually assume that he is using the word in a literal sense. However, the rapper, who recently took on the new name Snoop Lion, has revealed that he did have an organisation where he did just that…
He told Rolling Stone that in 2003, he ‘put an organisation together’ as he had a ‘fascination’ with the lifestyle of a pimp. He went on to say that his fascination was tough on his wife, who stuck with him throughout: “My wife had to take a backseat to this s**t and I love her to this day because she coulda shook out on a n***a."
Snoop went on to say that famous athletes and entertainers used his ‘services’. "I did a Playboy tour, and I had a bus follow me with ten b***hes on it. I could fire a b***h, f**k a b***h, get a new ho: It was my program. City to city, titty to titty, hotel room to hotel room, athlete to athlete, entertainer to entertainer."
Despite adapting a superficial tough mentality, the ‘No Guns Allowed’ rapper admitted he didn’t take the women’s money. "I'd act like I'd take the money from the b***h, but I'd let her have it. It was never about the money; it was about the fascination of being a pimp. As a kid I dreamed of being a pimp, I dreamed of having cars and clothes and bitches to match. I said, 'F**k it - I'm finna do it.'"
