Swizz Beatz Settles Child Custody Case
Swizz Beatz has finalised a child support agreement with the mother of his third child, who lives in London. According to The New York Post, the rapper and producer reached an out of court settlement with Zhanna Andrianova, the mother of his 3-year-old daughter,Nicole...
Swizz Beatz, real name Kasseem Dean, has been in an on-going battle with his Russian ex-girlfriend. Andrianova, who is also a singer and goes under the name Jahna Sebastian, met Beatz in a London club in 2007, and their daughter was born in May 2008. In 2009, Swizz Beatz travelled to London along with his wife, Alicia Keys, to take a paternity test which proved that he was the father.
The New York Post reports that the settlement comes after a prolonged back-and-forth between New York-based lawyers for Andrianova and Beatz. Sources also reveal that Swizz Beatz, who has four children, has been paying interim child support for his daughter with Andrianova.
Beatz’ lawyer, Robert Anthony Evans Jr., told The New York Post that he provides for all of his children, saying: "Mr. Dean has never failed to deliver on his responsibility for his children." The official agreement was delayed due to Andrianova being unable to travel to the US for court appearances, and her refusal to accept a settlement Beatz proposed a year ago.
As part of the settlement, Swizz Beatz has agreed to pay Andrianova’s $42,000 legal fees signed by him in July and August. Prior to the official arrangement, a Manhattan Family Court judge granted them a money judgement, which could have led to the rapper’s assets being seized or bank accounts frozen. Following this, Beatz sent a check for full payment to Andrianova’s lawyer.
