The 2012 Mtv Vmas: The Winners
After months of anticipation, the MTV VMAs took place at the Staples Center in L.A, with the UK super group One Direction stealing the show! The British boy band won three awards, stealing the attention from the usual showstopper, Rihanna…
Chris Brown came in second with two awards after seeing off competition from the likes of Drake who tied with Rihanna for the most nominations on the night.
Nevertheless, Drake and Rihanna both left the night with one moon man each. Drake won 'Best Hip Hop Video' for his collaborative track 'HYFR' featuring Lil Wayne and Rihanna walked away with 'Video of the Year' with her hit single 'We Found Love'.
Nicki Minaj added to the Young Money winnings after claiming the best female video for 'Starships' and the VMAs witnessed Wayne take the stage after performing alongside 2 Chainz, to the delight of the fans in L.A.
The Kevin Hart hosted night was deemed a success by the critics, but overall it was One Direction who walked away with all the glory.
