“I’ve got a lot of material to go so now as soon as I get back into the studio I’ll be ready.”
James went on to sing the praises of fellow finalist Jahmene, saying: “Jahmene, I think, is world-class. That guy is going to do phenomenally well off the back of this competition because he has had a chance to showcase just how amazing he is.”
The finals saw James and Jahmene singing with their mentor Nicole Scherzinger, a moment that James described as “phenomenal.”
“She is a mega-star and as an aspiring singer it was what you dream of,” he continued.
Rihanna, Emeli Sande and One Direction also took the stage to perform at the X Factor finals, where a demurely dressed Ri-Ri performed a stripped back version of her latest offering, ‘Stay.’
