Tulisa Reveals Rebel Childhood And Doubts About The X Factor
Tulisa Contostavlos has opened up in a recent interview about her lifestyle before she became famous. The N-Dubz singer admitted to stealing handbags, taking drugs and having underage sex at just 14 years of age, which apparently wasn’t abnormal at the time: "I smoked weed when I was a kid and got into fights. We did pinch a couple of handbags..."
When asked about how long she waited before having sex, she openly admitted: "I can’t say too long. I was about to turn 15. I was one of the lucky ones to keep my virginity for as long as I did."
The star has also expressed her worries about the level of attention she’s received from being a judge on The X Factor. Whilst most celebrities who appear as judges take advantage of the media attention to further their career, Tulisa says the high profile attention is making her want to leave already.
She told The Daily Mirror today that she wanted to quit showbiz by the age of 30, and says: "If anything, it will just make me want to get out sooner. I don’t want to do this for ever. It’s not the real world."
