Wiley Continues To Push For Dizzee Rascal Collaboration
Although they haven’t been on great terms for around six years, it appears that rapper Wiley – who is currently enjoying the success of his latest single ‘Can You Hear Me’ - is still eager for a collaboration with former XL Recordings label mate Dizzee Rascal. The Daily Star reports that the ever-outspoken ‘Godfather of Grime’ is still eager to make amends with Dizzee, saying: "In an ideal world, me and Dizzee would end this and make a grime album...”
Wiley continued: "I'm losing patience. I've tried to reach out but got no reply."
The rapper has also vowed to never play at UK universities again, after receiving a less-than pleasant response from students at one particular gig which led to him cancelling the entire tour.
Speaking about the incident, the 33-year-old admitted: I don't like students' attitudes. They only really like indie (rock) bands, and why would I want to perform for people who are going: “Shut up Wiley, you're s**t?' I did a gig at Surrey Uni recently that I hated.
"I didn't need that £12,000, so I cancelled the whole uni tour and now I won't play a university ever again."
