Will Smith And Jada Pinkett Smith Buy Basketball Team Shares Together
Despite an intense round of rumours insisting that the pair had split, it seems that the 13-year marriage of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith is stronger than ever, after the pair became minority owners of the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team...
The Philadelphia 76ers' billionaire majority owner, Joshua Harris, confirmed that his group’s takeover of the franchise had been successful: "My partners and I are thrilled to have become part owners. It's an honour to be part of this storied franchise. We want to build on the team's momentum and be world class and cutting edge in everything we do."
The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the oldest NBA franchises. Will and Jada will be hoping that their investment will enable the team to challenge for major honours, as they haven’t won a NBA Championship since 1982-83.
The couple are friends with Jay-Z and it seems they have followed in his footsteps, because Hov is also part-owner of basketball team, Brooklyn Jets.
