WRAP RADAR: Tallia Storm
See who has made it onto TWU’s radar this week...
What is Wrap Radar you ask? It’s a platform for us to share the talent that’s made it onto our radar, whatever level they’re at in their career.
This month, we're celebrating the very talented 16-year-old singer Tallia Storm.
Having been embraced by Sir Elton John and earning praises from Nile Rogers, Tallia Storm is no stranger to being in the spotlight! Famous for her ‘big hair’ she shows it isn’t just the image you need to admire but her powerful notes and melodies that will have you seduced whilst listening to Social Security.
The young teen releases her debut EP Social Security on May 10th to showcase her amazing vocal range that has hit the headlines across the UK. Honing in on the emergence of social media, Social Security is as Tallia describes ‘a fun play on social media etiquette or perhaps the lack of it.’ Having performed around the world, Tallia Storm shows immense experience for someone so young. It’s incredible to think Tallia has done so much already at this tender age, but with her infectious energy and drive, it’s fair to say that it looks like this #storm is gathering great pace.
She's currently working on her studio album and has been championed by the UK’s BBC Radio 1Xtra / BBC Introducing platform last summer. Her unique vocal signature and writing ability have also scooped her a 2-book deal with Scholastic, confirming perhaps why ‘The Sun’ newspaper tipped Tallia Storm for big things in 2015 in their ‘10 Acts to Watch in 2015’ feature.
Tallia Storm will be supporting Tinie Tempah at the MTV Staying Alive Foundation ‘Found’ gig in London on 14th May.
