Wyclef Speaks Out About Explosive Feud With Lauryn Hill
Wyclef had the hip-hop world abuzz when he spilled details of an affair with Fugees bandmate Lauryn Hill, which he says in his book ‘Purpose: An Immigrant’s Story’ led to the break-up of the hip-hop supergroup and inspired Hill's LP 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill'. After being quizzed about the revelations, Clef has spoken out about why he’s no longer angry with Lauryn…
The book reveals details of Wyclef’s romance with Hill during their time in the band, with the rapper revealing: "When Lauryn gave birth, I learned the truth: the child wasn't mine, it was Rohan Marley's. And in that moment something died between us. I was married and Lauryn and I were having an affair, but she had led me to believe that the baby was mine, and I couldn't forgive that."
Speaking to TMZ, the Haitian-American rapper revealed he has ‘no regrets’ about sharing the Fugees in-house drama to the world, saying: "That's how I felt then… for a period, it was something I held in... and I'm just glad I got it out."
In heat of the revelation, Lauryn announced that she will be teaming up with ‘If I Ruled The World’ collaborator Nas for the Life Is Good/Black Rage tour in the US, commencing in October. Speaking to Billboard, Nas stated: "Better late than never. Life is good!"
