When Simon Cowell managed to get Britney Spears on board as a judge on The X Factor USA it was seen as something of a coup for the TV mogul.
But according to US reports, the Toxic singer could be facing the axe after just one season on the show.
Us Weekly suggests SiCo is ready to call time on Britney's talent show judge career because she was too "boring".
Cowell signed Britters for a massive $15m, but insiders say she'll "get the boot".
One gossip told the publication: "They paid all that for her to say 'amazing' and offer half-claps."
Despite Britney getting Carly Rose Sonenclar into the final of this year's competition, it looks like next year could see yet another new line-up.
Long-standing American Idol judge LA Reid has already announced his departure, potentially leaving two spots open on the judging panel.
Season two host Mario Lopez, who insists he would "love to come back" for next year's series, has his own ideas about who should replace LA.
Speaking to Life & Style, he said: "I've been campaigning for my girl Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas. I think she would be awesome."
He added: "We've been friends for a long time and I think she's talented and I think she'd be an awesome judge/mentor. She's cool and hip and I think the kids would really respond to her and like her."
