Louis Walsh has confirmed that Simon Cowell is "in talks" withBritney Spears to be be a judge on The X Factor USA.

Walsh explained: "I don't know. OK, I think I'll be back, I think Nicole Scherzinger."
When asked if that means that the former Pussycat Dolls star would be joining the UK line-up[uuid=c9a9b12b-6784-4b51-b717-0dcc23267534] following her departure[/uuid] from The X Factor USA, Louis was quick to add: "No, honestly not."
Earlier this week, Cowell commented [uuid=a883a94b-08b4-494b-b71d-2dfbd34a98c2]on the rumours of Britney being a judge on US XF[/uuid], stating Spears would find the role "a walk in the park".
He explained: "The fact that she's still one of the most talked-about - not just popstars, but people in the world today - means that you've got this star power.
"This girl's got resilience and the fact that she's survived this and she's still hot, she's still having hit records and she's still controversial... there's a reason for that."
