Simon Cowell Rules Cheryl Out Of X Factor USA?
The music mogul claims he needs panelists who can judge US talent...
The Girls Aloud star is said to have previously claimed that she " never stood a chance" when it came landing her dream job on the American series and now it seems that SiCo has confirmed Chezza hasn't made the cut.
Speaking to our US Team about the Stateside show, the music mogul stated: "I have to make sure we have a lot of Americans working on the show to begin with. I've got to have people on the panel with me who can judge American talent because I'm 51 years old, I'm British and we've got people as young as 14 entering this competition."
"So I've got to make sure I've got people sitting alongside me who genuinely know what they're talking about so that we don't lose somebody in the audition process."
Cowell added: "I've gone into it first of all that it is an American show and whatever happened on the UK last year is gone. This is an American competition for American contestants. From a pride point of view, they want to make this the best show they've ever done."
Simon has recently stated that he will confirm The X Factor USA judges "within a week", with L.A Reid looking certain to join the show after stepping down as chairman and CEO of Island Def Jam to "participate in the upcoming US premiere of the X Factor."
