SiCo and Britters take a beating from Christina and co...
They were scheduled against one another in the 8pm slot and The Voice came out on top by a margin of 3.2 million viewers. It had 10.7 million viewers compared to The X Factor's 7.5 million.
X Factor boss Simon Cowell has been vocal in his criticism of NBC for adding an extra night to The Voice this week as a spoiler.
He stold TMZ: "These guys have really got it in for us. It's nothing short of dirty tricks.
"The reason they've done this is they don't want people to see X Factor because they've heard how good the series is. They don't want their audience to see Britney Spears. They don't want their audience to see Demi Lovato."
But The Voice coach Blake Shelton hit back at SiCo.
Digital Spy quoted him as saying: "Every time I turn around, he's mouthing off about our show. It's like, 'Do your own show! Come on! Put something together there and do your thing'.
"We'll just do ours and we won't mouth off about you!"
