Somerset House : The Zutons

LIVE REVIEW : Liverpudlian sensations The Zutons graced the stage at Somerset house for a sell out show...

Wednesday nights Somerset House The Zutons deliver an energetic packed set to a sell out crowd.

Despite the grim weather forecast the rain held off and as the sun disappeared behind the dark clouds the trademark Zuton Z appeared on stage along with the opening riff of You Will You Won't.

Not a band to disappoint, the crowd were treated to hits from their first two albums including the Zuton Fever and Pressure Point, as well as a number of tracks from their new album You Can Do Anything.

Whether there was something in the air, or just a distinct lack of Zuton Fever, the band had to work at the audience - even prompting front man Dave McCabe to tell the crowd to wake up and liven up at one point.

However the true Zuton fans eventually came out in force, taking pride of place at the barrier singing along to every song!

To complete the set Dave wished a quick recovery to Amy Winehouse before finishing with Valerie and Why Dont You Give Me Your Love, which finally caught the attention of every member of the audience!

This didnt go amiss as the Liverpool fivesome left the stage adding, Youve been a good crowd, considering youre a London one!!"
