Thom Yorke Plays Live Shows

With help from RHCP man Flea…

Thom Yorke has played two live shows in LA with his new unnamed band this past weekend.

The Radiohead frontman recently announced he’d recruited a supergroup to play his own solo material live.
Joining Thom for the gigs- at the Echoplex venue and Orpheum theatre- were Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea, producer Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker and Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco.
Guests at the first gig reportedly included Madonna, Daft Punk, Slash, NeilDiamond, Celine Dion and Muse.
The group ran through all of Yorke’s solo album The Eraser at both shows- with Flea reportedly adding a funk bassline to tracks like Harrowdown Hill.
Thom also played two new songs on his own- Lotus Flower and Open The Floodgates and ran through two rare Radiohead tracks- Paperbag Writer and Super Collider.
There are currently no other Thom Yorke shows announced but at MTV towers we hope he brings the group back to the UK soon.
