Chris Hemsworth, who plays the Norse superhero in the Marvel Studios' flicks, was joined by The Hunger Games star Liam, on the red carpet at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre.

Sir Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings and Jeremy Renner were also all in attendance at the launch, with Jaimie's dress in particular causing raised eyebrows for its revealing nature.
The film is making its US debut a week after hitting cinemas in most of the rest of the world.
