T.I. Gets 11 Months In Jail
Rapper sent back behind bars after probation violation...
T.I. has been sentenced to 11 more months in prison for violating his probation.
The Got Your Back rapper and his wife Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle were arrested on September 1 on suspicion of drug possession after police pulled over their car after smelling marijuana. Another drug, thought to be ecstasy, was found on the star.
He appeared at a probation hearing on Friday and pleaded the judge to go easy on him: “I screwed up big time, and I’m sorry. I’m truly and sincerely sorry. I don’t want and I don’t need to use drugs anymore. I want them out of my life.”
But the judge said T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr, “had had about the limit of second chances” and sentenced him to 11 months behind bars. The star was still on probation after serving jail time for a 2007 weapons conviction; he has a maximum of two weeks to turn himself in to start the sentence.
It’s been a crazy week for the 30-year-old – he talked a suicidal man down from the roof of a 22-storey building in Atlanta, and was then forced to deny the incident was a publicity stunt.
