Timbaland Wins Songwriter Award

Timbaland has won the coveted Songwriter Of The Year prize at the ASCAP awards in Los Angeles.

He picked up the prize for productions like Justin Timberlakes My Love, Omarions Ice Box and his own tracks The Way I Are and Give It To Me.

Timbo success is likely to continue in 2008 as he co-wrote much of Madonnas new album Hard Candy and has put his midas touch on some amazing songs by Missy Elliot- due out this summer.

Fergie picked up three awards at the ASCAP ceremony for tracks including Big Girls Dont Cry.
