Tinchy Stryder Strikes Out
The MC talks about poor sales of his new album…
Tinchy Stryder been talking about the relative failure of his latest album, Third Strike, in comparison to his previous offering, Catch 22.
Catch 22, released in 2009, reached No. 2 on the UK album charts, whilst last November's follow-up only got as high as 48.
Tinchy told Radio 1’s Newsbeat:
“To be honest, how I wanted people to hear it, it might not have got to as many people.
"Catch 22 – the previous album – the success of that commercially compared to Third Strike, it hasn’t matched up. It’s weird because the music on Third Strike is much more musical and powerful and deeper.”
The grime MC isn’t planning on making the same mistake twice however, and for his next album will, “adjust what needs to be adjusted.”
