Tom Cruise's Lawyer Threatens To Sue US Mag

After the National Enquirer published an untrue story about the actor...

Tom Cruise's lawyer has threatened to sue the parent company of US tabloid magazineKatie Holmes splashed all over the front page, referring to the Top Gun star's 'House of Horrors', claiming that he 'tortured' Holmes with year's of 'abuse', 'punishments' and 'humiliation.'
The publication also accuses Cruise of mistreating six-year old daughter Suri, stating she was made to stay for five months in a 'tiny windowless room.'

The Hollywood Reporter has since published a letter from Tom's lawyer Bertram Fields to American Media, branding the article "disgraceful and lurid" and "riddled with lies".
Fields goes on to write that the false story will cause the 50-year old "hundreds of millions of dollars of professional and personal damages, for which [Cruise's team] intend to hold American Media, and everyone who participated in the perpetuation of this scurrilous attack, jointly and severally liable".
Addressing the cover's claim that Tom is a "monster", Fields wrote: "Mr Cruise is certainly not a 'monster'. He is a caring father, a hardworking actor and, above all, an honest, decent man."
Fields then ends the letter demanding for the National Enquirer to deny "each and every one of [its] false assertions".
After reaching a divorce settlement with Holmes, it is thought that [uuid=4a266958-a01d-44b7-8bd3-1dd65aabe00b]Cruise will be reunited with Suri[/uuid] this weekend, with a source telling E!: "As soon as he is done shooting he will arrange to see Suri.
"If he wasn't shooting up in the mountains, I am sure he already would be with her... His plan is to see Suri very, very often. He loves her dearly and is a normal parent."
