Tom Daley spends a lot of time in water. Sharks spend a lot of time in water. Surely the obvious conclusion here is that Tom Daley should be turned into a shark for UK Shark Week? No?

Stripping down to a pair of nude knickers, Tom has his body painted to resemble one of the magnificent creatures, which he helpfully captured on video for his Daley Diary.

“The thing about it is, is that I’m extremely ticklish, so when it gets to under my arms and on to my feet it’s going to be pretty interesting,” says the 21-year-old diver.
