Tom Hardy Goes Topless For Esquire Magazine!
Plus, the hunky actor clears up any speculation of a feud with Mad Max co-star Charlize Theron...
The actor - who shows off his extensive collection of tattoos on the front cover of the publication - took the time to rubbish reports that himself and Charlize did not see eye-to-eye on the set of the 2012 flick.
Perez Hilton reported at the time: "Charlize and Tom are just not getting on together. Professionally, they are doing a wonderful job, but in-between takes Tom likes to stay in character and is constantly talking to himself and mumbling things.
"Charlize has tried to talk to him during breaks in filming but he shuts himself off from the rest of the cast."
However, Hardy has since slammed the accusations, telling Esquire: "That's disappointing. I think she is f****** awesome. I think she's incredible. I think she's one of the most talented actresses of our generation.
"But it's very interesting, the concept of what danger is, and this has nothing to do with Charlize of Mad Max, actually, but this has to do with life in general."
As well as clearing up rumours of a feud with Charlize, Hardy also spoke about his body image, explaining: "I don't feel very manly. I don't feel rugged and strong and capable in real life, not how I imagine a man ought to be.
"So I seek it, to mimic it and maybe understand it, or maybe to draw it into my own reality. People who are scary, they terrify me, but I can imitate them.
"I'm not a fighter. I'm a petite little bourgeois boy from London. I don't fight, I mimic."
Addressing his previous battle with addiction, the 36-year old star added: "I was a shameful suburban statistic. I was told very clearly, 'You go down that road, Tom, you won't come back. That's it. All you need to know'.
"And that message stayed with me clearly for the rest of my days. The beginning, really of a new life. I couldn't value life until I risk losing something worth more to me than my behaviour."
He concluded: "I am f****** lucky to be here, to be honest."
