A Passenger's Farts Were So Bad A Plane Was Forced To Make Emergency Landing In Austria

Picture this: You've mentally prepared yourself to spend the next seven hours on a plane, ready to delve deep into the in-flight entertainment, when soon after take-off the bloke next to you starts letting one after the other rip. What do you do?

Well, that's exactly what happened on a Transavia flight traveling from Dubai to Amsterdam Schipol over the weekend, and by the sounds of things, all hell broke loose.

The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Vienna Airport after a fight broke out over the man's farts. Then the police boarded the plane following the pilot's report about "passengers on the rampage."

Woah. Time to rewind.

It reportedly all started when the two men sat next to the flatulence-striken passenger didn't take well to his incessant breaking of wind, but apparently, he made no effort to stop.

Crew members of the Dutch low-cost airline were reportedly unsympathetic and refused to do much about it. Realistically, what could they do to put an end to this dutch oven situation?

Then, despite a warning from the pilot, a full-on fight broke out - queue the unscheduled landing in Vienna.

Police removed two men and two sisters from the aircraft, and now according to reports, the sisters are taking the airline to court, claiming they did nothing wrong.

They told De Telegraaf: "We had no idea who these boys were, we just had the bad luck to be in the same row and we didn’t do anything. All I will say is that the crew were really provocative and stirred things up."

Who knew a fart could cause so much drama?
