Cat Yoga Is A Thing And It Sounds Purrrrfect
Nobody mention the downward dog...
Forget Happy Hour, because it’s all about Happy Meowr at Cat Therapy - a cat cafe in Santa Barbara now offering a Cat Yoga class.
Yup, if you’re over the SB way you can now enjoy 60 entire minutes of ‘gentle yoga and deep stretching... surrounded by playful kitties’.
A further explanation on the cafe’s website reads: “Expect a fun, light-hearted experience appropriate for all yoga levels followed by 30 minutes of cat cuddles. This unique offering will leave you purring inside and out!”
An experience that will appeal to even the most phobic of exercise-phobes, we imagine. Not including those who are also feline-phobe of course. Or the deathly allergic. A weeping and itchy inner eye is nobody’s friend.
Cat Therapy is a pretty awesome concept all around - the cafe fosters cats from local shelters to create a space where people can relax amongst furry friends, sipping a beverage or enjoying a snack.
All resident fluffballs are up for adoption too - and being exposed to so many cat-loving humans increases their chance of adoption finding those forever homes. Every time one’s adopted, the wonderful people behind this business go to the shelters and bring some more cats into the Cat Therapy fold - which they say happens weekly. Awesome.
Or should that be PAW-some?
