Finally: (Officially) How Many Times You Should Wake Up Your Neighbour On a Flight
Bad news for the bladder...
One of the biggest questions surrounded flying etiquette has finally been answered: how many times is it acceptable to wake a sleeping neighbour during a flight?
You know the drill: they’re snoozing in the aisle seat, you’re busting for a wee in the middle (or worse - the window) seat, but should you disturb their slumber? And what about in another hour, when you need to go AGAIN?
Well, the results are officially in, thanks to British Airways, who surveyed 1,500 American, British, French, German and Italian travellers about the common flying dilemma.
The good news? 80 percent said that it’s fine to wake a sleeping neighbour. The bad? A whopping 40 percent say that you should only wake them once.
Oh that’s coo’, you just pee on your seat, that’ll be waaaay more pleasant for everyone involved.
A third of those asked said that they’d prefer to step over a snoozing stranger, but nobody could agree on the best way to do that - with the majority split over whether it’s better to go face to face, or climb over with your back to them.
Oh, and snorers? You’re safe, pals - only 20 percent said they’d give you a shove to stop the noise
So, that’s that. Do with the information what you will.
