Game of Thrones Fans - You Can Now Party At House Stark

Winter(Fell) Festival is Coming.

Game of Thrones may be over for another year (or perhaps longer - season 9 is rumoured to be delayed until 2019), but all is not lost - because on September 24th you can enjoy a knees-up at actual House Stark.

Winterfell Festival invites visitors to step into the world of the Stark family (shotgun being Arya) at Castle Ward, the actual filming location in Northern Ireland used in the HBO series.

So what can you expect from the festival? Luckily, mass-murder isn’t on the agenda - instead, guests will enjoy what is being billed as an ‘unmissable spectacle centred around the King’s Tournament Games’ (ooh).

Historical reproduction company Irish Arms will perform a series of medieval jousting performances on horseback throughout the day, there will be sword sparring (SWORDS!), jesters, falcon flights (FALCONS!) a roast hog feast (HOG!), and even a GoT themed shadow puppet show for kids and King’s mini tournament for kids.

And here’s the actual best bit - because not only will visitors be able to meet Grey Wind and Summer AKA two of the Stark Direwolves, but , Ian Beattie (aka Meryn Trant, Knight of the Kingsguard) and Michael Condron (aka Bowen Marsh, First Steward of the Knight’s Watch) will be hosting a series of ‘walk and talks’ during the one-day festival.

Tickets cost £22.50 for an adult, £10 for a child and £60 for a family (2 adults & 2 children between 10 – 16 years) - you can book right HERE.
