How much the Kardashians spend on a vacation
We all remember what happened with Scott Disick on that trip to Vegas…
No matter whether you love them or hate them, you can't deny the fact that no one knows how to holiday quite as the Kardashians do.
The only thing perhaps even more impressive than the sheer decadence of their luxury getaways (as well as the number of Insta posts they generate) is the fact that there are just so MANY of them - especially when you've counted all siblings, other halves, kids, exes and even exes' new squeezes, too...that's a hell of a lot of $$$ on a week or two away for the family.
So, we've looked into every aspect of the Kardashians' various extravagant vacations in an attempt to tot up just how much it actually costs to take some time out à la Kim and co.
In the meantime, we hear Tristan Thompson's seat on the private jet is going spare...
No last minute deals for this lot...or any commercial plane, for that matter. Private jets are simply du jour for the Kardashian clan, and rumour has it that their preferred aircraft for travelling in style costs up to a whopping $50,000 per hour! Of course, that’s a mind-boggling amount of money for the rest of us, but it would seem that extreme comfort and privacy are essential before this famous family even reach their destination.
You can’t think about Bora Bora without picturing Kim Kardashian crying about losing her diamond earring in the ocean, Kourtney retorting in the background “Kim, there’s people that are dying” while perched outside a $4,000-per-night overwater bungalow. It’s no secret that the Kardashians don’t skimp when it comes to holiday homes, often renting out entire resorts – like in Bali last year, where they hired reportedly the largest villa on the entire island.
Food & Drink
Somehow “holiday weight” isn’t a concept the Kardashian sisters seem to be familiar with, even though they’re rumoured to rely entirely on live-in staff to cater to their every culinary need while on vacay. Strict diets and fitness regimes mean that the Kardashians probably aren’t the easiest guests to feed, but with a private chef’s annual salary being anything up to $150,000, we’re sure they’re never left with a bad taste in their mouth. Best to stick to the soft drinks, though, because we all remember what happened with Scott Disick on that trip to Vegas…
Once they’ve finished snapping selfies by the infinity pool, it’s time for the Kardashian gang to explore their surroundings and spend some quality time together – taking more photos for Insta, obviously. From paddleboarding in Turks & Caicos to spa days in Finland, petting jaguars in Mexico to hot air ballooning in Australia, and glacier-top helicopter tours of Iceland to visiting the historic cultural sites of Cuba, they’ve quite literally done it all – money is, of course, no object. The average Kardashian spends more on one holiday’s worth of activities than the rest of us probably will in our entire lives.
If the Kardashians are heading for open water, you can guarantee there’s going to be a superyacht or two involved. From the Italian Riviera to the Java Sea, these ladies aren’t afraid to splash the cash on a boatload of luxury, with prices ranging anything upwards of $50,000 per week (that’s for up to 10 guests, with extra room for 5 staff). That’s enough to make any of us feel seasick, but Kourtney looks right at home on the water.
Every trip requires a new wardrobe, even if most of it involves barely-there, $1,000 bikinis – a Kardashian can’t be caught wearing the same thing twice! The influence of Kar-fashion can’t be overexaggerated, and with in-family brands like Good American and Yeezy, we’d probably need a couple of hours and a scientific calculator to add up the value of Khloe’s hand luggage alone. That’s not including makeup artists, personal stylists AND the fancy suitcases themselves.
When it’s time to come home, the cherry on top of a luxury holiday is having something to remember it by. Whether it’s local goods like Cuban cigars or little gifts for the kids (Kourtney was spotted checking out cute toy figurines in Japan), that’s definitely a few extra hundred $$$ on holiday memorabilia.
Total amount: Inconceivable.
The Kardashians remain our ultimate vacation and travel #goals, but the fact they could spend the equivalent of our entire student loan debt in a DAY means we’ll have to be content with lusting after their lifestyles on the ‘gram instead.
