Want To Sleep In A Tree House Hanging From A Crane? You’re In Luck
Just what you’ve always dreamed of, right?
For anyone whose life ambition has been to spend the night in a little house suspended from a crane, GOOD NEWS.
The world’s first treehouse crane has officially opened in Bristol, taking the hotel game to new heights. (Sorry).
You’ll have to move fast though - Crane29 is a pop-up experience by European travel agency Canopy & Stars, and will only be around until the end of September.
Hanging 26 feet above Bristol’s harbourside, the unique accommodation features a large double bed, an indoor hammock, a watering can shower, and a whole load of potted plants. Oh, and breakfast is also included, presumably served by some sort of carrier pigeon and/or a very very tall butler.
The whole thing is hella green too - B&Q (of ‘you can do it if you B&Q it’ fame) helped build Crane29 as an entirely sustainable and carbon neutral development.
"We hope people enjoy their stays in this amazing building and wake up to the great outdoors feeling they are truly part of this pocket of nature in the city – a real natural high,” Tom Dixon, managing director of Canopy & Stars, said.
As you can imagine the crane treehouse is q. popular already - and sleepovers can only be booked via a lottery system (open until July 3rd).
If you’re lucky enough to get selected prices then range from £185 for a weeknight, or £250 for a weekend, with all proceeds being donated to Friends of the Earth.
