There’s A New Wonder Woman Ride Coming To Six Flags And It Sounds Crazy

It will be the first of its kind in the world...

Listen up, thrill-seekers, because the U.S. theme park chainSix Flags has announced a brand new Wonder Woman rollercoaster coming to its Texas Fiesta park in 2018, and it sounds t̶e̶r̶r̶i̶f̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶p̶l̶e̶a̶s̶e̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶m̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶u̶s̶ ̶r̶i̶d̶e̶ ̶i̶t̶amazing.

The ride will be the first single-rail coaster in the WORLD, which seems fitting, considering Diana Prince is pretty unique. And also q scary.

Called the Golden Lasso, it’ll consist of just one 15.5-inch-wide-track, rather than the standard two sets of rails - which will apparently ensure a much smoother ride than traditional (can a rollercoaster be called ‘traditional’?) double-railers.

The deets? The ride, which will carry passengers in their own single seats so that they have unobstructed views of the sheer drops park will start with a 113-foot-climb (oh god), followed by an 100-foot drop at 90 degrees, and will hit top speeds of 52mph. Yeesh.

“I expect it to be crazy smooth,” Larry Chickola, Six Flags Vice-President and chief corporate engineer, told USA Today. “And crazy fun. There will be extremely quick twists and turns – quicker and smoother than regular coasters. You're going to feel like you're gliding through the air,”

Jeffrey Siebert, president of Six Flags Fiesta Texas, added: “It will feel like you're riding Wonder Woman's whip.”

WONDERful.
