These Were the Top 10 Instagrammed Travel Locations In 2017
How many of these spots have you 'grammed from?
Everyone knows that one of the best things about December (aside from time off work and all the food, of course) is the end-of-year roundups, and Instagram are already delivering like Santa’s sack (that conjured up a rather disturbing mental image).
Yup, everyone’s favourite social network (sorry Snapchat) has released the people, places and trends most posted about in 2017 - and broken it down in to a whole load of categories, including the most instagrammed travel locations.
So put down that biscuit, and get some serious bucket-list ‘doing it for the ‘gram’ inspiration, with the Top 10.
10. Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, USA
Good old Sin City is ‘gram gold - especially if you can bear the heat long enough to make it to that famous sign. And then queue to get a photo in front of it.
9. Disney California Adventure Park, Anaheim, USA
Prepare yourselves - you’re about to see a lot of Disney on this list. Apparently the happiest place on Earth is also hella good for generating ye olde likes.
8. Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn, USA
A walk between Brooklyn and Manhattan using this iconic bridge offers double the insta points - not only is the bridge itself pretty, well, pretty - but you’ll also be treated to some uh-mazing views of the NYC skyline.
7. Musée du Louvre, Paris, France
Unique architecture steeped in history, nestled within the bosom of the French capital. Also you can pretend to be holding the triangle so that’s fun.
6. Disney's Magic Kingdom, Orlando, USA
Another win for Disney, this time down in Orlando. *puts on Mickey Mouse ears* *blows party horn*
5. Tokyo Disney Resort, Tokyo, Japan
4. Eiffel Tower, Paris, France
It’s the second No.10 spot for Paris, this time with le iconique Tour Eiffel.
3. Central Park, New York City, USA
The (semi) tranquil (because nothing is really tranquil in NYC) retreat from the busy city streets offers some truly tremendous insta opps.
2. Times Square, New York City, USA
BRIGHT LIGHTS BIG CITAAAAAY etc. Also if you went to NYC and didn’t get a pic from the red stairs did you really even go though?
1. Disneyland, Anaheim, USA
As if Mickey Mouse’s head wasn’t big enough, Disney clinches the top spot. Is that depressing? Not sure.
