This Travel Hack Is The Secret Way To Getting Upgraded On Your Next Flight
When it comes to flying, it’s probably safe to say that all of us would rather jab ourselves in the eye than put up with a 10-hour trip in economy.
But sadly, because most of us aren’t millionaires, we haven't been able to justify crossing over into ‘premium’ territory – UNTIL NOW.
Yep, if your dream is to see what’s behind the pleated curtain of coach, then it's your lucky day, because this travel hack might just be the key to getting upgraded on your next flight.
Cosmopolitan UK got the inside scoop after they managed to corner some flight attendants to just come out and ask the question we all want answering: “HOW DO WE GET UPGRADED WITHOUT FABRICATING OVERLY ELABORATE NEWLYWED STORIES?”
(They probably asked it a little less aggressively, but whatever).
Anyway, it turns out that there isn’t some secretive magic behind getting bumped up to business, and apparently all you need to do is avoid pre-selecting a seat when you check in for your flight online.
“If you've already set yourself up with a seat, you're sorted in the airline's eyes,” explained Cosmo.
“But if you're still potentially floating anywhere around the plane, then there's at least a glimmer of hope that they could find you an extra-comfy space in, say, business class.”
While avoiding picking your seat doesn’t guarantee you a shared partition with Harry Styles, it’s still definitely worth a try, eh?
However, if your worst nightmare involves getting stuck in a middle seat between a crying baby and a man with no spacial awareness, then you might not want to risk it.
