This Website Will Pay You to Book Flights for People
Bargain hunters, listen up!
If you’re a master at nabbing great flight deals, you could start getting paid for it.
If you’re pretty skilled at scouring the interweb for cheap flights, then you might want to listen up for a sec - because there’s a new website that will literally pay airfare bargain hunters to find other travellers the best deals.
Farefetch caters to the money-conscious people of the world, finding those sweet sweet low fares, via a network of ordinary people who just really have a knack for sourcing cheap flights. Win, win, right?
Right, except you might not want to quit the day job just yet, because ‘Farefetchers’ are in competition with each other, so to make money you’ve got to be fast.
Here’s how it works. A traveler visits the website, and sends out a request with all the deets: departure and return dates, number of passengers, maximum price etc. etc.
Then, the first Farefetcher to submit an airfare that is booked by the traveler, is paid the difference between the traveler’s max budget, and what the airfare actually cost.
It’s a pretty great arrangement - although there’s a couple of things to keep in mind. A) you can’t cancel or change any flights booked through the service, so there’s that. B) always check what the ticket includes before booking - as some airlines hike up prices by adding additional costs for checked baggage, and even meals.
What do you reckon - fancy making some extra cash?
