Tourists Are Trolling Malta’s Collapsed Azure Window On TripAdvisor
Leaving savage one-star reviews of the former limestone archway...
Earlier this year Malta’s infamous Azure Window collapsed into the sea - and a whole load of holidaymakers really aren’t happy about it.
In fact, they’re leaving savage one-star reviews of the once majestic rock formation all over TripAdvisor.
Which is essentially the nature-based equivalent of trolling someone’s deceased gran on Facebook. Or something.
“Can't really give an excellent score to something that no longer exists,” wrote one reviewer.
Someone else opted for some capslock shade, writing: “WHAT A WASTE OF TIME… the Fungus Rock is just a rock.”
“Don’t waste your time,” echoed another one-star review, “it’s just sea now, no point in even going to this area imho”.
The arch on the west coast of Gozo crumbled into the Mediterranean sea after heavy storms back in March, with Malta’s prime minister Joseph Muscat calling the loss “heartbreaking”.
It had been a tourist attraction for years, but shot to rocky fame after nabbing a starring role in none other than Game of Thrones.
Now come on everyone, let the Azure Window rest in peace.
