Let’s be serious for a second - one of the best things about the holiday season is all the Christmas movies, from Love Actually and Elf (Buddy the Elf, what’s your favourite colour?) to The Holiday and Home Alone.

Well, now you don’t have to make do with just watching that last one - because you can now live Home Alone 2 thanks to The Plaza Hotel, who are celebrating the film’s 25th anniversary in style (feel old yet?).

The hotel has created the ultimate Home Alone holiday based on Kevin McCallister’s antics - and you don’t even have to be a guest to enjoy a lot of the fun.

Daily visitors to The Plaza can visit the Home Alone exhibit to take pics with the Bandits, or enjoy a 90s throwback menu at the Todd English Food Hall. Spaghettios? How could you say spaghetti-no?

There’s also a tour through the city visiting spots featured in the film and lunchbox juice cocktails (The Plaza Punch comes in a Capri Sun type pouch - amazing).

If you really want to splash the cash, overnight guests can go the extra mile with the Home Alone 2 Anniversary Room Package, which includes branded backpacks, a complimentary ice cream sundae cart, and all the Home Alone movies for an in-room marathon viewing sesh.

Got even more money to burn? You can upgrade the package (gosh this is never-ending isn’t it) with express passes to the Empire State Building, access to the Central Park ice rink, and a four-hour NYC limo tour.

Oh, and please don’t panic - you will not have to meet Donald Trump.

The hotel package is available between now and October 29, 2018, and rates start at $895.
